hair & wig guide
This guide provides and overview of key considerations/recommendations, types and tips for choosing and mantaining wigs and different hair extension types.
Raw
100% unprocessed hair from a single donor, ensuring uniformity and consistent pattern across all strands. This uniformity facilitates brighter hair colour results. Conversely, virgin hair comprises strands from multiple donors, though this doesn't diminish its quality. However, raw single donor hair offers versatility in achieving diverse looks due to its consistent quality.
• Never chemically processed or heat-treated
• Natural state, highest quality on the market
• Lasts 4-5 years, cuticle aligned (Lifespan varies depending on the frequency of wears, and how well it is maintained)
• Highest quality on the market
• Textures: Straight, Wavy, Curly
• Authentic appearance with natural shine and feel
• Recommended for those seeking premium, natural hair extensions
Virgin
Virgin hair is chemically unprocessed human hair. It is collected from a several donors, not altered by dyes or harsh treatments. It also:• Has not been altered by dyes, Perms, bleaches or harsh washes
• Cuticles intact, moving in the same direction
• Steam processed for different textures Such as deep wave, kinky curly, Italian curly, body wave and water wave
• May undergo minimal processing such as washing and sanitising
• High quality, similar to raw hair
• Lasts 2-3 years with proper care. (Lifespan varies depending on the frequency of wears, and how well it is maintained)
• Ultimately virgin hair is steamed to achieve different textures.
Raw hair has not seen altered at all by steam or chemical treatment. Raw hair is slightly more difficult to maintain as it is in its most natural state, however when cared for correctly lasts longer, making it a better investment.
Lace Type: HD Lace vs Transparent Lace
HD Lace (Recommended)
• Ultra-thin & melts into all skin tones
• Flawless, natural “scalp” look
• More delicate, handle with care
All our pre-made wigs and 2x6 closures use HD lace for easy and seamless results.
Transparent Lace
• Slightly thicker & more durable
• Great for everyday wear
• Requires slightly more effort to melt
• May need tinting for deeper skin
Our Recommendation:
Choose HD lace for the most natural, effortless finish. We only use HD lace in our Pre-made wigs for the best results.

For Pre-made/Custom made wigs thickness recommendations:
Recommended:
14" → 150%/180%
16" - 20" → 180/200%
20" - 24" → 200/250%
26" - 30" → 180/200/250%
30"+ → 200/250%
*We’ve removed any hair densities we don’t recommend as purchasing options. For example, 24-inch wigs at 180% density typically require around 2.5 bundles, which we find does not provide the best results.
